Mosaic District
Just a 5 minute drive from our wedding venue is the Mosaic District, filled with tons of restaurants, shopping and a movie theater. If you are lucky and check the website, you might be able to catch one of the outdoor movies!
National Harbor
The National Harbor offers, shopping with top brands, local boutiques, world-class gaming, restaurants from celebrated chefs. This is a great place to stop for food, walk on the waterfront or even take a ride on the Ferris Wheel.
MGM National Harbor
If you like to gamble....or people watch like we do, MGM National Harbor should be on your list before you leave the city. Win money on the slots, have a drink and dance at Fetch lounge and if your'e lucky, catch a show at the Theater.
Smithsonian Museums
In the heart of DC are a number of Smithsonian Museums to include The Air and Space Museum, African American History Museum and The National Portrait Gallery. Best part about it, they are all FREE!
National Museum of African American History
If you plan in advance, you can get (FREE) tickets to visit the African American Museum in DC. It is filled with all of our history and great things to see and learn from. Note, if you go during the week or show your military ID you don't need a ticket!
Washington Monument
This is where it all began! We had our first date at the Washington Monument. Nearby are other memorials like the MLK memorial and the World War II Memorial. Great way to see DC and get a little piece of history.
Tysons Corner Mall
Need any last minute items for the wedding? Well Tysons Corner Mall has a great combination of low and high end shopping, plus there are a bunch of good places to grab something to eat inside the mall.
Fashion Centre at Pentagon City
If you want to shop but also get a glimpse at the US Pentagon, stop by Pentagon City Mall. Shop inside the mall, walk around Arlington, VA to grab something to eat and on your way out, you'll drive past the Pentagon, a nationally recognized building.
The National Zoo
I mean, who doesn't love a good zoo? If you love animals just like we do, stop by the DC Zoo! Oh, and it's FREE!
Topgolf
Who doesn't like a good competitive game of golf? Grab a drink and some food while you hit a few rounds of golf!
