Kali is Brenna’s (only) favorite sister. When Kali first moved to Grand Rapids she lived with Matt and Brenna for a year. She is now out on her own but during that time, her and Matt basically became siblings (at least they argued like it). Matt and Brenna like to visit Kali at work, getting to try her newest cocktail creations.

Best Man
Irish. Eagle Scout. Brotha from anotha Motha. Dan and Matt first met at a scout meeting back in 2002. After realizing they lived down the street from each other, they quickly became best friends and spent time together doing all the nerdy things. Nowadays, they spend time brewing beer, playing board games, and occasionally shooting fireworks at each other. Matt and Dan's friendship has blossomed to a full fledged brotherhood, a bond that will last until the end of time.
Maddie Verbeke

Maddie and Brenna lived on the same floor freshman year at Michigan State. She also went to high school with Matt and is the one who set Matt and Brenna up! They have been inseparable ever since, and love spending time at the beach, walking around downtown Grand Rapids, or just sitting on the porch with a glass of wine.
Luke Albertson

Eagle Scout. Mentor. The Third Musketeer. Matt met Luke on the same day the he met Dan. The two bonded over their love of cooking, backpacking, and the great outdoors. During their high school years, they would hangout in Dan's basement drinking Vernors, and playing endless amounts of Call of Duty. Now that they both live in Grand Rapids, Matt and Luke spend their time together drinking home-brews, making grilled pizza, and rehashing old memories.

They met when Kelsey started dating Brenna’s friend John at Michigan State. They became fast friends and now John and Kelsey are married! They recently moved to Grand Rapids, and Matt and Brenna love that they love just a short walk away.

Political Advertiser. Whiskey Teas. Trivia Expert. Matt became friends with John through Brenna. John and Brenna met Freshman year and Matt started hanging out with them at MSU. They became closer when John and his wife Kelsey would come visit Matt and Brenna in Grand Rapids, almost every weekend. Now that John and Kelsey moved out to Grand Rapids, you will find them playing Settlers of Catan and drinking their favorite drink, Whiskey Teas.
Amber Goodyke

Amber and Brenna met in graduate school! Amber sat in the open seat next to Brenna on the first day and the rest is history. They bonded over being speech pathologists and spent countless hours studying together. Now that school is over they enjoy meeting up for a game of Catan or playing on a summer softball league together.
Ryan Miceli

Swimmer. Tall and Lanky. Cat Dad. Matt and Ryan became friends through their adventures on the high school swim team. After thousands of yards in the pool, they still found time to play Call of Duty, and get into mischief. This continued into college when Matt and Ryan lived together in the same dorm. Today, Matt and Ryan live a few blocks from each other and get together to swim, golf, and light fires.

Alex and Brenna met in middle school and bonded over their love of tennis. They were a mean doubles team, but made it to the state championship as single players. The early days also included plenty of ice cream. Now they stay in touch and see each other whenever they get a chance!
Emma Pesci

Rugby Player. Card Shark. Best Laugh. Matt met Emma while visiting Luke at Grand Valley and they became instant friends. She won Matt over when she made her famous gnocchi. Emma and Luke would come visit Matt at MSU, where they would drink craft beer, and play plenty of rummy. She was fond of playing Florence and the Machine on repeat. Nowadays, they get together to make killer dinners and play cards.
Kelsey Mulholland

Kelsey and Brenna met in 5th grade. They bonded over their mutual appreciation of sarcasm and reading. They spent nearly everyday after school together, either at the public library “studying” or at Kelsey’s house eating her family out of house and home. They see each other whenever they can!
Mike Wilson

Swimmer. PhD. PokéMaster. Matt met Mike his freshman year of high school when he joined the swim team. Mike was a junior and quickly became a great friend, driving Matt home from practice, hosting epic LAN parties in his basement, and sharing his knowledge of the Pokémon. Mike spends his time these days researching cancer and taking care of his pup, Marley. Matt and Mike still meet up regularly to drink beer, talk about comic books, and play Smash Bros.
Lindsay Miceli

Matt and Brenna met Lindsay when she started dating Ryan. Brenna and Lindsay first bonded over dancing an Irish jig at the Fairmount house. Now they do less jigging and play more Catan. They spend time together going for hikes, snuggling kitties and watching Matt grill carne asada.
