Our love story began in the most unexpected way. Whilst home from Durham University for the weekend at the start of May 2020, Beth swiped right on a handsome stranger who seemed almost too good to be true. That stranger was Matt. What could have been just another match turned into something magical. Matt asked Beth out on a first date to Box Hill accompanied by his beloved dog, Buddy. Throughout the date we discovered an easy connection and genuine chemistry. We laughed, talked and found ourselves surprisingly comfortable in each other's company. Yet despite this spark, we came from different backgrounds and were fresh out of long-term relationships, unsure of what we were truly looking for. What neither of us realised was that uncertainty would transform into something undeniable. As weeks turned into months, the chemistry we felt on that first walk only deepened. Every conversation revealed new layers, every moment together felt like coming home. What started as hesitation became conviction. The differences that once seemed daunting became the very things that made us stronger together. Through shared laughter, enjoyment of the simple pleasures in life and countless adventures, we realised that we weren't just compatible, we were soulmates. And now, standing at the threshold of forever, we are ready to celebrate a love that grew from a simple swipe into something truly extraordinary.
