The Cool River bar at the Embassy Suites will be staying open until 12:30 for our wedding guests to enjoy a drink, socialize and hang out after our reception.
We will be getting married on the grounds of historic Valley Forge National Historical Park—the same grounds that witnessed a bitter winter encampment of the Continental Army under General George Washington. What happened at Valley Forge nearly 250 years ago is a great American story of resilience and perseverance. On Friday morning at 10:00 am we have arranged, exclusively for our guests, a 90-minute-plus trolley tour of Valley Forge Park. Alexandra’s uncle, Bob Pigeon, who is a history volunteer at the park, will lead the tour and tell the story (and a few back stories) of how Washington’s volunteer army endured and emerged a coherent and effective fighting force. There are a limited number of spots available for this tour, so if you’d like to sign up, please RSVP via the Schedule Page on the Website. Closer to the wedding date, Bob will email you details about the tour.
The Embassy Suites provides a made-to-order breakfast for all guests. If you are sticking around on Saturday, please join us after 12 PM at Micki's house for snacks, beverages and hanging out.
