Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

That depends! If you are from the Seattle area and don't want to drive home that night, we recommend the Hampton Inn and Suites in Puyallup. We will have a block of rooms reserved there, and the hotel is just a short Uber/Lyft ride from the Kelley Farm. If you are visiting from out of town and want to also do some Seattle sight-seeing, you might want to stay somewhere with easier access to i5 (the freeway that goes downtown). We recommend either staying in Federal Way (where Kim's parents live) or in SeaTac near the airport. SeaTac is also along the Link Light Rail, which is an easy train ride into downtown. We will have a block of rooms reserved at the Best Western in Federal Way. More to come on lodging soon!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Think semi-formal, Seattle spring weather kind of dress code. Seattle weather in May is unpredictable, so we could be looking at a sunny outdoor ceremony, or a back-up rain plan getting married inside. The reception will be inside regardless, with the option of opening the sliding doors to an outdoor patio if weather allows.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Check your invitation envelope; the names on the envelope are the names of the people invited. If your invitation envelope says "(your name) and guest", your plus-one is invited.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love kids! If you have the energy to bring them to the event and look after them, they are more than welcome! We do not have childcare or a separate kids' buffet, however.

Question

Other questions?

Answer

Submit your questions with your RSVP (under the tab to the right of FAQs) and I'll add it to this section!

Question

I have dietary restrictions - what can I eat?

Answer

If you're vegetarian or vegan: please go to the RSVP section of our website, and under meal preference, select vegetarian. The caterers are only making a specified amount of the vegetarian dish (which will be vegan too), so if you don't want meat, you MUST let us know ahead of time or there will not be enough! The vegetarian dish will not be on the buffet, you must specifically ask for it when you're in line for food. Both of the sides (potatoes and vegetables) are vegan, as well as salad. If you're gluten free: everything on the menu is gluten free, except obviously the bread. And unfortunately dessert. If you're dairy free: you can eat anything on our menu! Except dessert... If you have another dietary restriction: please let us know as soon as possible so we can see if it can be accommodated. **none of this applies to dessert...unfortunately they cannot make that gluten free or vegan.
