We're married!

We met at a theme party and didn't think much of it. A few months later when we met again at another party, Caitlin crushed Shane at beer pong and flip cup. Ever the gracious loser, Shane invited Caitlin on a romantic stroll to 7-11 for beer and pizza, and we've been inseparable ever since. Shoutout to our amazing friends for giving us these opportunities to meet!

We both wanted to make the other feel loved and surprised, so we decided to both propose to each other. Ladies first! Caitlin took Shane for a picnic brunch in the Olympic Sculpture Park where she popped the question over a customized beer. When Shane opened the beer, the cap's bucket list item read "Marry Me." Shane enlisted the help of Caitlin's cousin Catherine to escort her on a scavenger hunt around Seattle. Little did she know at the end of the hunt Shane was waiting in the yard in a box. As Caitlin opened the box, Shane surfed down a wave of pink balloons to one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. We said yes!

The Riviera Maya holds special memories for us. As avid scuba divers, Caitlin's family has enjoyed trips to Cozumel to dive with dolphins, sharks, and lots and lots of fish! Shane's dad spent a lot of time in his childhood and throughout his career in Mexico, so Shane grew up hearing stories of his experiences. Shane visited the Riviera Maya with his family as a teenager and had a blast exploring the underground rivers, aquatic life, and cultural attractions of Xcaret Park. Returning to this incredible region with all of our friends and family was a dream for us both. We are so grateful to have celebrated this next chapter in our lives with you. Thank you!
