Matt & Danielle

The Party People

Each and every one of these people have played an instrumental role in supporting us, as individuals and as a couple. From blood family to chosen family to childhood friends, we are privileged to have this crazy group walk down the aisle with us as we celebrate our love.

Sarah

Maid of Honor

Sarah and Danielle found each other their Freshman year at Austin College. They lived directly across the dorm hall from each other but did not meet until one fateful day in Bible study when the school year was almost over. For the past 10 years, Sarah and Danielle have been inseparable, despite the fact that they have kept up a long distance friendship for most of it.

Brenden

Best Man

Brenden and Matt found each other the day Brenden was born. At first Matt was not too keen since he wasn't the only child anymore. But it all got better and they became the best of friends growing up. They would TP girls houses, Shoot off fireworks on the golf course, ride bikes and play sports. They really have been inseparable ever since and talk to each other pretty much daily.

Elisa

Bridesmaid

Elisa lived with the Matise family for a year when she traveled abroad from her home in Milan to Texas. Danielle and Elisa discovered that they are secretly long lost sisters and have stayed connected in heart since she had to go back to Italy. They have not seen each other for over 12 years, but Elisa will be making the trip around the world to stand by Danielle’s side on this special day.

Robbie

Groomsman

Since the first grade Matt and Robbie have been mates. It was hard for Matt to make friends early considering he looked like the kid from Stuart Little. Those round glasses made it hard. But since Rob had eye issues as well, they just seemed to have a bond and had many similar interests. Ever since the 1st grade Matt and Robbie have remained very close even when they were not in the same city.

Chezka

Bridesmaid

Chezka was the Matise family’s first exchange student in 2005, traveling all the way from the Philippines. Even though they are not related by blood, Chezka has remained Danielle’s “big sister” for almost 15 years. Their two families have built an incredible relationship, and the wedding will be a special first time reunion for both sides.

Clay

Groomsman

Matt met Clay early in college at Texas A&M's scuba diving club. Clay was the first to come up to Matt and introduce himself. Their first trip together was a dive trip to the Comel River picking up trash from drunks floating in it. From being roommates to work buddies, they have remained very close even after he went and left the great state of Texas for Washington.

Casey

Bridesmaid

Danielle and Casey have developed their friendship ever since Casey began dating Matt’s brother, Brenden. They are both able to relate to the joys and challenges of working in veterinary medicine...as well as the joys and challenges of dating the Grimley brothers.

Tim

Groomsman

Tim and Matt met through Clay in college. At first they were just friends, but once they became roommates the relationship blossomed from there. From eating ramen noodles while watching the office, to annoying the hallway RA with pranks, their relationship just seemed to grow. Even after college they have remained close friends.

Stephanie

Bridesmaid

Danielle and Stephanie met while living as neighbors when they were in elementary school. They bonded over epic N64 Mario Party all-nighters, a tradition they try to keep to this day. Through all the years, schools, and moves, the two have always managed to remain best friends.

John

Groomsman

John and Matt met through college as well. They had many classes together and prowled the streets of downtown Galveston most of their Senior year. They bonded early on cars, girls and booze. This led to in depth conversations about the environment, hiking, diving and the stars. Even though John moved to Washington the two have remained very close.

Jennifer

Bridesmaid

Danielle met Jennifer when they became best friends in third grade. When Danielle had to move schools (before the age of cellphones and Facebook) they lost touch. But as a testament to their friendship, they were able to pick up where they left off when they reunited 10 years later and have not skipped a beat since.

Andrew

Groomsman

Matt and Andrew met when they became neighbors back in late middle school. Growing up down the street from one another many activities were had such as playing paintball in the nearby creek and playing sports. They also grew up playing ice hockey together all the way through highschool. Ever since then they have remained inseperable

Julia

Bridesmaid

Julia and Danielle were roommates during their junior year at Austin College. They connected through their passion for community and helping others and bonded over random late nights full of laughter, snacks and inside jokes. Many years have passed since their some in college, but their friendship and support has never changed!

Erik

Groomsman

Erik and Matt met early in late middle school. Growing up together in highschool they bonded on cars and regularly escaped trouble by running Matts Honda Civic on 121 and Custer. Even though they are apart in different cities they still remain close and keep in contact regularly.
