We actually met on Facebook’s dating app! It started off as a simple match, but within days we were both smitten! 🤩 We decided to meet up on a weekend with plenty of time to spare, because a weekday just wasn’t going to cut it. In those few days before we met in person, I was actually on a second date with someone else… (One that I had agreed to go on before even matching with Mathieu I might add!) But alas, I had to cut that date short and break ties with the other guy because all I could think about during the date was responding to Mat’s latest text messages 🤣 I knew that had to be a sign that I was out with the wrong person, but I could never have imagined that Facebook had introduced me to my soul mate. 🥰 We clicked in a way neither thought possible right from the start! So, we met up at Chuys in Frisco a couple days later and when we officially said ‘hello’ for the first time in the parking lot, Mat scooped me up in the biggest bear hug of my life and suddenly all my nerves evaporated! He had to duck under the fake palm trees inside the restaurant which kickstarted our night of laughter and getting to know the people Behind The Screens, and after that we played mini golf at a place called Puttery. (Themed mini golf- if you haven’t gone, you should!) To both of our surprise, I got a hole in one on the most difficult last course, and the rest is history! ❤️
