The Steamship Authority runs ferries year-round from Woods Hole, MA to Martha’s Vineyard. You can arrive at either Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs, though Vineyard Haven is the more convenient port for our wedding weekend.    •    Walk-on passengers can get tickets online ahead of time or day at the terminal on the day of travel.     •    Bringing a car on island? Make your vehicle reservation as early as possible (the tend to sell out quickly for fall weekends). Reservations for 2026 typically open on January 1, 2026, and book up fast.     •    If you prefer to leave your car on the mainland, the Steamship Authority offers overnight parking at the Palmer Avenue Lot in Falmouth with a free and easy shuttle to the ferry dock.

The Martha’s Vineyard Airport (MVY) offers direct or connecting flights from Boston (BOS), New York (JFK), Washington D.C. (DCA), Philadelphia (PHL), Providence (PVD), Nantucket (ACK), and Hyannis (HYA). Taxis and rideshares are available when you arrive.

Once you’re here, the island is fairly easy to explore:     •    The Vineyard Transit Authority (VTA) offers bus routes connecting major towns and beaches.     •    Taxis, rideshares, and rental cars or bikes are available throughout the island.

🚐 Wedding Day Transportation & Parking

Flat Point Farm will have ample on-site parking. Additionally, we are working on a private shuttle from a central location in Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs to make getting to and from the venue even easier — details to come as the date approaches. Please indicate on your RSVP if a shuttle may be beneficial.

If you’ll have a car, it’s easy to stay anywhere across the island — everything is within a 20–30 minute drive. For those traveling without a car, we recommend staying in or near Vineyard Haven or West Tisbury, as these towns are closest to the wedding venue. Oak Bluffs is another good option with public transit and ferry route access. We’ve included a few options below to help you find a place that fits your style, group size, and budget. Early booking is encouraged — fall weekends on the Vineyard are a popular time to visit!

Parking for Friday/Sunday events at 179 Lamberts Cove Road will be available across the street at our two neighbors and additionally down the road at Lamberts Cove Beach parking (1/4 mile walk).
