FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sabine Shaughnessy and Mathew Zakrzewski
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

July 1st please!

Question

I hear ticks are especially prevalent on island. What can I do to prevent bites?

Answer

We are taking preventive measures by having our venue sprayed for ticks in advance of the wedding which should help significantly! Even still, ticks are a real concern on while on Martha's Vineyard. Ticks are common in grassy and wooded areas, so we recommend taking a few simple precautions while outdoors: - Use insect repellent when outdoors - Wear closed-toe shoes and light colored high socks or long pants on wooded trails - Check yourself and others for ticks after outside activities If you do get a tick bite: - Remove the tick promptly with fine-tipped tweezers, pulling straight up without twisting. - Clean the bite area and your hands with rubbing alcohol, an iodine scrub, or soap and water. - Monitor for any rash, fever, or flu-like symptoms and contact a healthcare provider (aka ~20% of wedding attendees) Reach out to us with any questions or concerns!
