Lighthouse Ice Cream San Diego
Make sure to order the Birthday Cake ice cream in a fresh waffle cone and tell the owner, Carol, "hello"! Extra points if you can find a photo of Lydia and her family among the photos hanging in the back. Afterwards, take a walk on the pier or take a look in the many cool and funky shops at Ocean Beach. If the timing is right, sunset at Sunset Cliffs down the way is simply dreamy.
La Jolla Cove
Lydia and Matt make sure to visit the sea lions at the cove when they go to San Diego. This is also where Elayna dipped her toes in the sand for the first time.
The Cottage La Jolla
It's tradition that after visiting the sea lions that Lydia and Matt make their way up to The Cottage for brunch. They have the best French toast!
Mission Beach | Belmont Park
Lydia and Matt love to walk around this area to check out the boardwalk shops, play a few games and grab a bite to eat at either Draft for a killer burger or Cannon Ball for sushi.
SeaWorld
Lydia and Matt celebrated their 2nd Anniversary together by swimming with the dolphins where Lydia joked that Dolly is the only other "girl" Matt is allowed to kiss.
