We first met working at Chipotle in 2014 when Lydia was hired as a Marketing Strategist. Everyone "starts in the restaurant" and she was given the task of attending Restaurant Training where Matt was assigned as the Restauranteur to show her the ropes. Fast forward a few years later, it was clear we had a strong friendship. One night, Matt challenged Lydia to a game of pool where the loser had to take the winner to dinner. Matt played a mean game of pool (he's really, really good BTW!) and just so happened to sink the 8-ball which tuned into their first date. (Clever, right?) We both say that every step of our relationship felt different. Lydia even describes Matt as feeling like home, even though she tried to play a tough game of hard to get and jokingly nicknamed him "Tuesday" before officially dating. Through times of joy, trials, adventure and fun, it became undeniable that we wanted to be by each other’s side for a lifetime. Matt proposed on Christmas Day by the glow of the Christmas tree (like a Hallmark movie, y'all!) which happened to land on a Tuesday (get it?) and Lydia undeniably said “yes, yes, yes...” to forever.
