Like many modern love stories, ours started with a swipe... or in our case, a tap but for us, it became the beginning of something real. It started with a simple “Hey.” No expectations, no pressure. But something about the way we talked—honestly, effortlessly—just clicked. What was supposed to be a casual conversation turned into hours of chatting, sending voice notes, sharing playlists, and laughing about the most random things. We both felt something strong, something different. So we met up. From the moment we saw each other in person, everything felt natural. No awkward pauses, no nerves that lasted more than a few seconds. We talked for hours. It was like we’d known each other for years. Reluctantly we ended our first night at 5am. Knowing there was something there, we went on another date the very next day. At first, we kept it between us. Not because we were ashamed or unsure—but because it felt sacred. We wanted to build something real, away from the noise and opinions. We met almost daily, shared kisses under streetlights, and fell asleep on each other's chests with the TV still playing in the background. It was our little world. Eventually, we knew we couldn’t keep it to ourselves anymore. We had fallen in love. Telling people was both terrifying and exciting. Some were surprised. Some said they already knew. But everyone could see the way we looked at each other—the love, the joy, the deep bond we’d grown. So yes we met online, but we stayed for something much more powerful: love, laughter, and a connection that only grows stronger with time. And now, we’re not hiding anything. This is us. Real, imperfect, deeply in love—and so grateful we found each other in the most unexpected place.
During a weekend getaway to The Heights to see a concert, William took a bold step and asked Mateo to marry him at Harold’s Restaurant. The setting was perfect, cozy and intimate, with the city lights twinkling outside. But what made it even more special was that Mateo, filled with emotion, turned the moment around and asked William if he would marry him too. The two of them, in that beautiful, unexpected moment, shared their love and commitment in a way that felt both spontaneous and deeply meaningful. It was a weekend they’d never forget. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Bolivar!
