Phoenix Art Museum
We celebrated our first Valentine's Day here. Madeline particularly enjoys the fashion exhibits. You can spend a whole day here or just an hour, there is a lot to see! Admission is free on the Frist Friday of the month from 3pm-7pm, which will conveniently be March 4th, the night before the wedding!
Desert Botanical Garden
About a 20-minute Uber drive from downtown, you will find the Desert Botanical Garden which offers self-paced and guided tours throughout a beautiful desert landscape showcasing native plants. The restaurant on-site, Gertrude's Cafe is delicious for a light lunch or evening cocktails.
Valley Bar
We have had many fun nights here playing skeeball, darts, and shuffleboard while enjoying cocktails and live music. Definitely a hit for a relaxed night out!
Art Murals
We always enjoy strolling the city streets checking out the newest art murals. We once had the pleasure of meeting one of the artists! The link below has a list of 15 murals and their locations. Great phot-op for our social media fans out there!
Arizona Science Center
A great option for kids! Fun, interactive exhibits! Mat and I enjoyed many childhood field trips here growing up.
CityScape
CityScape , a two-block concentration of restaurants, bars, and fashion retailers, is home to an urban-chic bowling alley, a dance club and arcade, a live-music venue with 60 beers on tap, and a comedy theater and supper club with rentable meeting space.
The Churchill
Fun and funky place to shop local artists and support small businesses. Great place to grab desert-themed souvenirs, while enjoying food from your choice of several vendors!
South Mountain
Mat and I love hiking the Phoenix trails! If you have a few hours or a full day to spare, we definitely recommend checking out some hikes. The closest mountain range to Downtown Phoenix is South Mountain. There are 101 trail options throughout the preserve. Find one on the All Trails website listed below.
