Italian Market 9th Street
Open daily - 10 blocks of stores with fresh cheese/pasta, tortillas made by the minute, or sidewalk stalls of veggies/produce. This was Masuma's weekly ritual in residency. Close to legendary tacos: South Philly Barbacoa (open Sat/Sun until sells out, cash only)
Philadelphia's Magic Gardens
A beautiful mirror/tile/mosaic wonderland! Stop by Jim's on South for memorable cheesesteak!
Bok Bar
A converted school boasting one of the best views of the city skyline from their stunning rooftop bar. This school also houses everything from a phenomenal bakery (Machine Shop Boulangerie) and 100+ artists/small businesses. A short walk away is East Passyunk Ave with some of the best restaurants/cafes and fun strolling the city has to offer.
Rodin Museum
One of the largest Rodin collections outside of Paris, $12 entrance (but the grounds are also incredibly beautiful - and free - to spend a quiet morning)
Goldie
The best falafel & tehina smoothies (it's mandatory to get both). Across the street: Dizengoff for Mike Solomonov's hummus and then Federal Donuts for yes, donuts and fried chicken. Now you have a complete meal.
Fairmount Park
An extensive running path that borders the Schuylkill river and goes beyond to Manayunk. Explore further in and you'll find the Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center

Brunch - all day. PHENOMENAL BISCUITS. Do not leave here without having a biscuit.
Mural Arts Philadelphia
The largest public arts program in the nation, you can take walking/bus tours all over the city exploring this city's connection of art and community

Outdoor beer gardens (with food), walk-ins welcome. A really fun summer-perfect place to spend an afternoon!
Reading Terminal Market
Be aware of the crowds, but this is a Philadelphia staple - lots of food, souvenirs and donuts!
