Frequently Asked Questions
Question

What are the Inns of Aurora?

Answer

The Inns of Aurora are 8 restored, historic luxury inns in the Village of Aurora New York. The Inns have won multiple awards including most recently a Michelin One Key in 2025!

Question

What are the accommodations?

Answer

We have reserved rooms across four residences at the Inns of Aurora, along with a selection of nearby Airbnbs for our guests. One of our top priorities for the weekend was ensuring that everyone could stay within walking distance, so you can fully enjoy the celebrations without worrying about transportation. All invited guests have been thoughtfully accounted for in our accommodations. Please reach out to us directly, and we’ll be happy to guide you to your assigned stay!

Question

What do I wear?

Answer

Attire is Black Tie Optional. Women: Cocktail dresses, chic midi dresses, or formalwear are all encouraged. Think autumn colors and jewel tones — emerald, sapphire, burgundy, plum, chocolate, navy, copper. October evenings by the lake can be crisp, so a stylish wrap or jacket is always a good idea. Men: Tuxedos are enthusiastically encouraged, though a dark suit and tie are equally welcome. October evenings by the lake can be chilly, so plan layers accordingly.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We would prefer RSVPs as early as possible since accommodations were reserved in advance. We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than August 10th 2026.

Question

Is it going to be cold?

Answer

The weather on the lake can change without warning but for the most part expect highs in the mid 60s. Night time can be in the low 50s but our tent has heaters, there is an inside space to sit, and we will have blankets as well. The ceremony is outside next to the lake. Worst case, the dance floor will keep you warm.

Question

Do I need to bring cash?

Answer

It is open bar for the night, so only if you want to tip the bartenders!

Question

Is there a lot of walking involved?

Answer

The longest walk will be from your accommodations to the Inns themselves so look it up ahead of time! The ceremony will be held on the grass and the rest of the wedding will be under a tent and on the patio.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking on the street or in a small lot next to the Inn. We ask that if you are within walking distance to please walk so those that need to drive can find the space to park.
