Angela and Eric first met at an IHOP, where pancakes softened the sting of what was likely another tough loss for Albemarle High School. Throughout their teenage years, they moved through the same familiar corners of Charlottesville — attending the same events, grabbing Bodo’s bagels, and even sneaking into the Forest Lakes pool without a pass. Though they were often in the same places at the same time, it simply wasn’t their moment yet. On April 27, 2019 that moment came. The Washington Nationals played the San Diego Padres and Angela and Eric found themselves in the same place at the same time. It was the perfect baseball day—sunny, warm, and cloudless. With their respective groups and completely unaware of each other’s presence, they both headed to the bar above left field to order a drink. Bottom of the third inning, next in line, their eyes met. Spurred by a shared Charlottesville connection and years of quiet familiarity Eric approached Angela and said hello. They talked for the rest of the game, and before leaving, Angela gave Eric her phone number so they could continue catching up. That summer unfolded easily: happy hours, concerts, cooking together, discovering just how much they had in common and sharing stories woven from spending time at all the familiar Charlottesville spots. At the end of that Summer in 2019 over dinner at Red Hen in D.C., Eric asked Angela to be his girlfriend. In 2021, they moved in together and built a cozy, loving, first home together. In 2024, they purchased their first house and adopted their good boy Willie. On Memorial Day weekend in Charleston in 2025, Eric asked Angela to be his bride. _______________________________________________________________ We feel incredibly grateful for the friends and family who have been part of our story—some from the very beginning, others woven in along the way. You all mean so much to us, and we can't wait until 10/03/2026. Lets boogie and Go Birds!
