There is lots to do around Providence, RI! The city itself is very compact with lots of bars, restaurants, and shops. Seriously, it takes us no more than 10 minutes to get just about anywhere. You can also easily go south to the coast or north to Boston in about an hour. If you're staying for a long weekend, you could visit Martha's Vineyard or Block Island by ferry. If the leaves have already begun to change in late September, the fall foliage is stunning. Leaves change earlier in Massachusetts and New Hampshire if you are here for a long weekend and wanted to take a hike or drive. Here are some of our top suggestions:
