Things To Do

Here are a few things that we love in Southern California from Los Angeles to Orange County and down to San Diego. Cars are definitely necessary, but you can decide how far or near you want to go! These are some places that we love to relax, explore, adventure, or enjoy some delicious food or coffee/tea
Disneyland Resort

Disneyland Resort

Disneyland Drive, Anaheim, CA 92802
, (714) 781-4636

In order to go here, you will need to make a reservation, but there are so many safety measures that are currently in place to ensure that you are having a good time! This is about 35-45 minutes away from us depending on traffic, and is wonderful even if you decide to just stroll Downtown Disney. The beignets are incredible, and for a taste of the PNW, there is a Salt & Straw. Hey, IYKYK.

Coffee Drunk

2701 East 4th Street, Long Beach, CA 90814
, (562) 343-1305

This is a new love for us introduced by one of our closest friends. The coffee here is well worth the drive and while you are at it hop across the street to Gusto's for the yummiest bread and pastries. My favorite drink here is The Last Call (it's basically a mocha-y dirty spiced chai) and Max's favorite drink is The Instigator (it is a brown sugar and maple latte and one day he consumed two within in two hours and he's been dreaming about it since.

Red Ginger China Bistro

Corona, CA 92879
, (951) 737-2878

This is a local Chinese restaurant that is great for takeout. The portions are hefty and it is filled with so much flavor!

BKK THAI KITCHEN

1818 Marron Road, Carlsbad, CA 92008
, (760) 434-5415

This Thai food restaurant is about an hour from where we are, but it is worth the drive and you can drive to the coast to eat it or adventure Carlsbad Village Drive when you are done. Most of our earliest memories and dates involve this restaurant and they still remember us when we stop by. We are so thankful that they are still around, and we love that we get to support them! You won't be disappointed!

Universal Studios Hollywood

100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, CA 91608
, (800) 864-8377

If ya wanna head to LA and get your Harry Potter on, then I would say head here for a bit PLUS if you are feeling spooky you can head there for a little scare!

Alta Coffee

506 31st Street, Newport Beach, CA 92663
, (949) 675-0233

This is Jess' favorite coffee shop from her time at college and the beach is literally five minutes away from here. They have a great chai and yummy coffee shop breakfast and pastries. If you want to enjoy a delicious spiced chai and hear the waves, head here for a bit!

Julian Pie Company

2225 Main Street, Julian, CA 92036
, (760) 765-2449

Julian is a really special place to us and we will be serving pies from here, but if you wanted to explore the San Diego county and enjoy the cold weather (maybe even some snow during this time) plus pie and super cute bed and breakfast spots head to Julian.

For all the days along the way
