Snorkeling

There is a ton of snorkeling around the islands. Feel free to pack your own set or there are plenty of places that will rent so you can save space for all the jewelry and souvenirs. A few of our favorite places: Hull Bay (Northside) Secret Harbor (East End) Lindquist (East End)

St. John

St. John

St. John is another US Virgin Island. It's just a 20 minute ferry ride away from St. Thomas but is very unique and a totally different island experience. The ferries leave St. Thomas and St. John every hour throughout the day. You can stay in Cruz Bay (just off the ferry) for drinks and delicious food, take a taxi to a few nearby beaches, or rent a car for the day (usually around $100 for the day). Solomon Bay is just a short hike from the ferry. Some beaches we recommend: Hawksnest Maho Trunk $ There are a TON of hiking trails and ruins to look at around the island.

Water Island

Water Island is yet another US Virgin Island that has its own unique features. There are only 200 residents and one main beach (Honeymoon Beach). A short ferry ride from Crown Bay (near the airport) which leaves at 8am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm and 6pm. Ferries return from Water Island back to St. Thomas on the :15 of every hour. Once you get to Water Island, you can rent a golf cart to explore the island, including World War II forts.

British Virgin Islands

British Virgin Islands

If you have your Passport and want to see more Virgin Islands, you can charter a boat out to Virgin Gorda, Tortola, or Jost Van Dyke. These islands are much less populated and boast more beautiful beaches. They have a different flair than the US Virgin Islands.
