How our story began

Across a crowded church

The first time we saw each other, we were at a young adults Bible study in a dimly lit room at a large church. Little did we know that we would some day get married. A week after that the pastor said a lame joke and Heather burst out laughing; Mason thought it was an angel singing and needed to meet her as soon as possible. So after the pastor was done talking Mason and his friend came right over to introduce himself to this angel. After being introduced Heather’s group leader asked if they would like to join their small group. They excitedly and unanimously said yes! A few months later Mason saw Heather was riding her bike to get to Bible study, so he offered to give her a ride every week. Heather of course said yes! Once a week for eight months they road together to Bible study and went out afterwards with friends. On New Year’s Eve Heather thought she had plans with a close friend, but those plans fell through. She called some friends and no one was available, so she texted Mason and asked if he would like to go see a movie. He quickly replied yes! She thought that they were going to see the movie just as friends; well afterwards they got drinks and on the way home Mason asked if they could do this again. Keeping the thought that they were just friends Heather energetically accepted, while Mason knew that it was actually a date. They went on more dates and eventually they both admitted how much they really liked each other. The two began being boyfriend and girlfriend and eventually the two love birds knew that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. Several months into dating, Mason went to Heathers Dad and said, “I’d like to ask for your daughters hand in marriage.” which Dad excitedly gave his blessing and gave Mason her mother’s ring. He proposed to Heather on August 1st of 2020 and their future of being together forever began.
