Local travel around Santa Marta

• Tayrona National Park (1hr from Santa Marta, 20 mins from wedding venue) – some beaches which you can access by car or boat, nearer Santa Marta, some are OK for swimming, and have hotels. o The main entrance to the park is only for access on foot, or donkey. 2-3 hours walk into beaches (one of which is for swimming). Very beautiful. 1 posh expensive eco-hotel, otherwise its hammocks, tents, or very, very basic cabañas (this is to avoid overdevelopment. Can be a daytrip, but ideally recommend 2-3 days. • Minca (recommend 2-3 days) – 40 mins drive from Santa Marta (approx. 1.5 hrs from wedding venue). Touristy town in Sierra Nevada mountains (world´s highest coastal mountain range). Waterfalls, river, jungle hikes, coffee and cocoa farms, spectacular mountain views, some good restaurants,
