Question

What’s special about Waterloo Village and what can I see while I'm there?

Answer

Waterloo Village is a historic site, nestled within Allamuchy Mountain State Park. It's a truly magical place, full of charm, history, and natural beauty. Waterloo Village was once a bustling 19th-century canal town along the Morris Canal, complete with a general store, gristmill, blacksmith shop, and other preserved period buildings. We encourage you to take a stroll! The scenic canal is steps away. Enjoy the natural beauty of the park. The fields, trees, and river make for a lovely short walk (and perfect photo spots!). You'll also see historic buildings and ruins tucked throughout. We can't wait for you to experience this unique place!
