Travel Note
While most cabs do accept credit cards (except American Express,) we do recommend you have euros on hand. There is Uber in Italy, but we typically use and prefer cabs. We recommend having your hotel arrange a car service, or schedule a cab if you need to catch a flight, or train. Most of Italy is walkable, and you will only utilize a car if you need to get to the airport or train station.
Travel Note
Italy, like much of Europe, relies heavily on cash. We strongly recommend exchanging money at your bank at home before leaving for Italy. The exchange rate is better, and it eliminates the stress of needing to exchange currency upon arrival. If you need to exchange money while in Italy, we recommend using an ATM instead of a currency exchange service, as the latter will result in a loss of money.
