Answer

🇺🇸 Black-Tie Optional for the wedding day. Cocktail Party Attire for the night-before welcome party. More specific details and examples can be found under the “Schedule⏐Zeitplan” tab. 🇩🇪Für den Hochzeitstag ist festliche Kleidung gewünscht. 🇺🇸 Will there be transportation to and from the castle?⏐🇩🇪 Gibt es eine Transportmöglichkeit zum und vom Schloss?

Answer

🇺🇸 There will be a complimentary return shuttle service (running from midnight to 2:00am) leaving from Schloss Albrechtsberg with specific stops at Hotel Kempinski, Hotel Gewandhaus, and one other location in the Dresden Old Town (to be determined). Guests will be responsible for organizing their own transportation going from their accommodation to Schloss Albrechtsberg during the day. 🇩🇪 Es wird einen kostenlosen Shuttle geben (von 0:00 bis 2:00 Uhr), der vom Schloss Albrechtsberg abfährt und am Hotel Kempinski, am Hotel Gewandhaus sowie an einem weiteren Halt in der Dresdner Altstadt (wird noch bekannt gegeben) stoppt. Die Anreise vom Hotel bzw. der Unterkunft zum Schloss Albrechtsberg organisieren die Gäste bitte selbst.

🇺🇸 Although we'd love to celebrate with everybody, only those who are formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you are given a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP. 🇩🇪 So sehr wir uns freuen würden, mit allen zu feiern, können wir aus organisatorischen Gründen nur die auf der Einladung namentlich genannten Gäste berücksichtigen. Falls eine Begleitperson vorgesehen ist, ist dies auf der Einladung entsprechend vermerkt.

🇺🇸 We love your little ones, we really do! However, we would like our special weekend to be adult-only occasions and respectfully request no children for our wedding day and welcome party. We hope you can take this as an opportunity to enjoy a fun date night and evening! 🇩🇪 Im Interesse aller Gäste und Organisatoren haben wir uns entschieden, ausschließlich Erwachsene zu den Feierlichkeiten – sowohl zur Willkommensfeier als auch zum Hochtzeitstag – einzuladen. 🇺🇸 Can I use Uber in Dresden?

Answer

🇺🇸 Unfortunately, Uber is not reliably available in Dresden. We would recommend taking either a taxi, public transportation, or even walking to see the main sights in your leisure time, and scheduling a taxi on the wedding day. There is a taxi app called "Taxi Deutschland" you can download instead to book taxi rides. Please check "Travel & Hotel Details" tab for more information on transport options.

🇺🇸 Should I rent a car?

Answer

🇺🇸 We recommend not renting a car if you are planning on traveling mainly to big and medium-sized cities in Europe during your free time, as city street parking is often a hassle and is limited. However, if you plan to visit smaller towns and prefer flexibility, then by all means, go for it!
