Things To Do

Golf

We are happy to offer our guests a discounted group rate on any of the following public golf courses: Oak Point, Cougar Point, Turtle Point, Osprey Point, and Ocean Course. Please call the selected course directly to book your tee times and mention you are part of the Craft-King wedding to receive the discounted rate before November 2, 2023. Tee times book up early, so we recommend you book in advance. Golf club rentals are available for an additional fee.

Beach

Kiawah Island's 10-mile stretch of beach rank amongst the best in the world. The beach's packable sand is perfect for bike riding, running and long walks. For families extending their stay, we highly recommend renting bikes.

Spa & Shopping

If you are looking to pamper yourself be sure to make your Spa reservations early. If you prefer to shop, there are a few cute stores at the Sanctuary Hotel or refer to our Freshfields Village suggestion for more shopping that is just outside the main gate.

Tennis

The Acclaimed Roy Barth Tennis Center has 19 Har-Tru clay courts, 3 hard courts, and pickle ball courts. You can reserve a court just for fun with friends, sign up for a clinic or book a private lesson.

The Players' Pub

(843) 768-2771

Great spot for lunch located at the Cougar Point Clubhouse. Offers both indoor dining and outdoor seating. Serving American fare and has a great pub-style bar (TVs to watch sports). If you just want to grab a drink, take it outside to the adirondack chairs and watch golfers' approach shots over the water!

Lobby Bar at the Sanctuary Hotel

Great spot to meet up with other guests! Leather chairs, couches and a fireplace inside or sipping a cocktail outside overlooking the grand lawn. You can't go wrong.

The Ocean Room at the Sanctuary

If you are looking for an upscale dinner, this is the premier steakhouse on Kiawah Island. The Ocean Room serves masterful dishes crafted from locally sourced beef, poultry and produce in a seasonally changing menu—all complemented by a wine list showcasing more than 1,000 superior selections.

Freshfields Village

There are numerous restaurants and shops within Freshfields Village, which is located just outside the gates of Kiawah Island. For those who rented villas or homes, this is where Harris Teeter is located (the only grocery store near the Island). Be sure stock up here on groceries! Our go-to Restaurants at Freshfields are La Tela Pizzeria and FortyEight Wine Bar and Kitchen.

Charleston

If you plan to spend an extra few days we highly recommend a day trip to this charming city! Just a 45 minute drive from Kiawah, if you're thinking of heading in feel free to reach out for recommendations.
