Takin the El

If you want to wiz around the city to see different neighborhoods during the weekend, we recommend purchasing a 3 day pass ($20) at any station to get around Chicago! These passes will give you access to the El and different bus routes. For folks flying in from O'Hare/Midway, the El is a great way to get into the city if you're not renting a car/Ubering. From O'Hare, you'll follow signs for the blue line and it's about a forty minute ride in to Logan Square and about fifty minutes into the downtown area. From Midway, you'll follow signs for the orange line and get off at anywhere within the loop to either transfer or stay downtown. For folks staying at Kinzie Hotel who want to use public transportation, Clark/Lake is the closest blue line train station (eight minute walk) that can take you to Logan Square blue line station (which is also another eight minute walk from our venue)!

We also recommend using Airbnb or VRBO if you want to stay in an alternative (and sometimes more affordable) way to stay in the city. We love using Airbnb for our trips and it's a great option for accommodating a larger group all under one roof.
