Hotel
Across the street from wedding venue. We will be staying here! From October 23rd to 26th. Downtown Mexico Hotel, housed in a 17th-century palace near Plaza de la Constitución, is a stunning blend of history and modern boutique style. With high ceilings, dark tile floors, and Moorish-inspired details, it offers elegance just steps from the wedding venue, Casino Español. However, the area is intensely crowded, with over a million visitors, bustling tourism, and commerce—an overwhelming but convenient spot to be on time for the wedding. Dear Family, We blocked Colonial King and Queen rooms at a reduced rate from the 23rd to the 26th. • Children’s Accommodation: • One child under 12 years old can stay in a Colonial King or Queen room at no extra charge. • For two or more children, an extra bed is required in an Independence or Revolution room, with an additional cost of $60 USD plus taxes per night. Please note that Independence and Revolution rooms are not blocked for our event, so availability will depend on the hotel. Be sure to mention our discount code Mary&Shane when booking — if rooms are available, you’ll receive the special rate. To book a room or for more information, contact Alejandra Najera at groupsassistant@grupohabita.mx with the accommodation you want, and she will help you with the reservation. We can’t wait to celebrate together!

Shane's favorite neighborhood for Airbnbs. Condesa is a hip, artistic neighborhood full of charm, where cafés and top restaurants are just a short walk apart. Its peaceful streets make it a great place to stay, offering a break from the city’s intensity. However, while Google Maps suggests a 20-minute drive to the wedding venue, traffic can easily double or triple that time. If you choose this area, we recommend booking a nice Airbnb and planning your timing carefully.

Mary's favorite neighborhood for boutique hotels. Polanquito, a charming and upscale area within Polanco, is one of the most vibrant and luxurious spots in Mexico City. Known for its high-end restaurants, trendy cafés, and boutique shops, it offers a sophisticated yet lively atmosphere. The area is walkable, safe, and well-maintained, with tree-lined streets and the beautiful Lincoln Park at its heart, providing a peaceful escape amid the city’s energy. While it’s only 30 minutes from the wedding venue under normal traffic conditions, during peak hours, this commute can easily triple, even within a four-mile radius.
