Our wedding will take place on October 24, 2025, in Mexico City at Casino Español, located at: Casino Español Isabel La Católica 29, Centro Histórico, 06000 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico
Mexico City is generally safe, especially in neighborhoods like Polanco, Condesa, Roma Norte, and Santa Fe, which are popular among tourists. However, in very crowded public areas such as markets, metro stations, and tourist hotspots, pickpocketing can be a concern, just as in major cities like New York, Paris, Los Angeles, or Tokyo. To stay safe remain aware of your surroundings at all times.
You can contact our wedding planner by email at shaneandmarykorthuis@gmail.com
A valid American passport is required to enter Mexico. While credit cards are widely accepted, exchanging cash (U.S. dollars to Mexican pesos) at the airport can make your trip easier and more convenient.
August 1st is the last day to RSVP. Just keep in mind that Mexico City will be packed due to the events, so please be mindful of your schedule
A week is ideal! This gives you enough time to explore the historic center, visit world-class museums, enjoy the food scene, take a day trip to Teotihuacán, and experience the city's vibrant neighborhoods like Roma and Coyoacán.
The dress code is Black Tie. This means: • For men: A tuxedo or a formal dark suit with a bow tie or tie. • For women: A long evening gown. • Optional: Glamorous accessories and formal footwear. We’d love for you to dress up and celebrate with us in style!
Mexico City offers several convenient transportation options: • Walking & Biking: Ideal for exploring certain neighborhoods like Roma, Condesa, and the Historic Center. • Public Transportation: The metro and metrobus are efficient and affordable. • Uber: A safe and cost-effective option, but be mindful of traffic, especially during peak hours.
You should fly into Mexico City International Airport (MEX) – Benito Juárez International Airport. From there, we recommend you take an UBER, airport taxis are safe but in a higher rates.
We will be sharing updates via text messages and emails about any gatherings or activities. However, we encourage you to explore the city at your own pace, Mexico City is a vibrant, cosmopolitan destination with endless things to do. There’s no pressure to be with us at all times, but we’d love to celebrate together whenever possible!
The wedding will be indoors at Casino Español. The weather in October is usually perfect, around 75°F (25°C), so you can expect a lovely evening.
