What is the dress code for the welcome party?

Answer

For the welcome party, we ask that you adhere to a semi-formal or cocktail dress code. There will be a Pinterest page with outfit inspiration uploaded to the website as we get closer to the big day.

The ceremony and reception will be black tie-optional. There will be a Pinterest page with outfit inspiration uploaded to the website as we get closer to the big day.

Will there be transportation provided to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes! We will have old school trolleys to take everyone to and from the wedding venue. Pickup and drop off will happen at The Colony Hotel. Trolleys will depart for the ceremony around 2:45 p.m. At the end of the night, there will be one trolley leaving the Cape Arundel Inn at 8:45 p.m., several will depart at 10:15 p.m., and one will remain to drive guests home from the after party at 12:30 a.m.

Those with plus-ones will see their name on their invitation.

Are there Ubers in the Kennebunks?

Answer

No! Please do not expect to be able to get an Uber in this area. Most restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. There is also taxi information within the "Travel" section of our website.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Late September in coastal southern Maine is typically mild and crisp, with daytime temperatures in the 60s and cooler evenings in the 50s. Guests may want to bring layers, especially for evenings near the water, as coastal breezes are common.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both events will be held outdoors and will be on grass, so plan accordingly for footwear. The reception will be a tented event.
