The Wedding Website of Mary Estes and Matt Taylor
Matt and I have been lucky to live in the nations capitol! The DC area has tremendous cuisine, funky breweries, and historical must see sights! Below we've attached food, breweries/wineries, and must see places in the area! If you are staying local, there are great events, breweries, and hiking trails near by!
Leesburg

Leesburg

Leesburg, VA

If you are staying local for the weekend, Leesburg is a great town to explore! They have fun breweries, restaurants, and outlets to go shopping at! At the bottom of this page is a list of restaurants that come highly recommended by locals.

National Mall

National Mall

Lincoln Memorial Circle NW, Washington, DC 20037
, (202) 426-6841

If you've never been to DC, the national mall is a MUST see! You can rent bikes, walk, or scooter around for a very affordable price. The sites and museums are free and an awesome way to see the city.

Old Town

Old Town

King Street, Alexandria, VA 22314

Old Town is the oldest city in the United States. This area sits on the Potomac and is filled with AMAZING food and drinks. King Street is a great way to spend your afternoon! Black wall hitch, Mason Social, and Mai Thai are a few of our favorite restaurants.

District Wharf

District Wharf

1100 Maine Avenue Southwest, Washington, DC 20024

The Warf is an awesome part of DC for grub, cocktails, and concerts. They have an AMAZING seafood set up on the water (just make sure you bring cash, they do not accept any kind of plastic). The Anthem is the newest venue in the area bringing in a wide range of artists and performances! Matt and I got engaged at the Warf on September 13, 2019 at Shake Shack (a popular burger joint for DC natives)!
