Will there be a wedding ceremony?

Answer

Matt and I got married on November 23rd, 2019 in Staunton, Virginia. We wanted an intimate ceremony with only our parents. This event is to celebrate our marriage. You can expect delightful toasts, an 80's wedding dress, a very special first dance, and of course happy tears of joys.

Should we rent a car?

Answer

We recommend renting a car. Bluemont is not Uber accessible from DC. The venue where the reception will be held is next a popular brewery but is not in a town. You will want access to and from your weekend residence. TURO is an affordable car rental service that works like air bnb.

What is Turo?

Answer

Turo is a car rental service that is accessed via phone apps or online. It works the same way air bnb does. You choose a car within your price range and then work with the vehicle owner on pick up and drop off location. We saved a lot of money using Turo on our trip to Alaska last summer!

Will there be transportation the night of the reception?

Answer

Yes, we will have a shuttle bus for those who are staying in Leesburg to and from the reception.

Should we stay in DC?

Answer

This is a big fat no! Although we are close to the DC area and highly recommend checking it out if you are visiting, save yourself the headache and get a place that's close to the venue! Click on the travel page and it will have a list of options that are close to where the party will be at!

Are dogs allowed?

Answer

Although we’re tickled by the progressive puppy movement that has taken wind the last few years, we ask that you keep your furry friends at home. The venue is right next to Bear Chase Brewery and we don’t want to be chasing down dogs during the festivities. We thank you in advance!
