Mount Spokane is a very special place to us- we've taken many snowshoeing trips and hikes together there. It is also where we got engaged! We recommend taking a drive up and exploring if you have time. There are plenty of hikes to do of varying lengths, or you can drive right up to the top and see the Vista House.
We highly recommend a stroll around Riverfront Park! Follow the Centennial Trail to view Gonzaga University's beautiful campus, a GIANT Radio Flyer wagon (with a slide!), and the infamous Garbage Goat! We like to pair this walk with a trip to Revival Tea and Auntie's Bookstore, both of which are easily accessible from the park. This is one of our favorite ways to spend half a day!
Can you tell we love a little walk?? Not to be confused with Riverfront Park (Mary does it all the time), Riverside State Park is ideal for viewing Spokane's natural beauty. Take a jaunt through its winding trail system. Bowl and Pitcher is a great starting point. You can make your hike from here as long or as short as you like.
Meander through our new stomping grounds! In the Garland District you will find an old-school, quirky shopping experience. Enjoy the best milkshake and burger combo at the Milk Bottle. Or, grab a coffee and pastry at Rocket Bakery. There are lots of cute shops to poke through!
We first started living together in this neighborhood. Take a peek at Grant Park and see what is growing at the community garden. There are plenty of food and drink options on the main drag. We love Perry Street Brewing and South Perry Pizza, but there are several other great restaurants here (French, pub fare, and Mexican-Indian fusion).
