Sole East Resort

This is the location of our wedding reception as well as one of our recommended hotels for guests. It is a 5-minute walk from Montauk's village and the beach. We have a discounted room block for guests. Rates are guaranteed through July 26, 2023, so please book by then! You can reserve a room via phone (631-668-2105) or email (info@soleeast.com). Make sure to mention the VanderVeen/O'Connell wedding block. During the off season (November 1st- April 30th), the hotel is closed, but a reservation agent will be available for booking. Sole East Beach

Sole East Beach is a smaller beach motel that is associated with the Sole East Resort where our wedding reception will be. It is located 50 feet from a path that runs through the dunes to the ocean. It is also only a 3 minute drive from the wedding reception. As with the main Resort, we have a discounted room block for guests. Rates are guaranteed through July 26, 2023. Surf Club at Montauk

Another great place to stay which is right on the beach and great for families. Its also only a two minute walk from the church where our ceremony will be and a five minute drive to the wedding reception! To book, call 631-668-3800 or email stay@surfclubmontauk.com. Flight

John F. Kennedy (JFK) or LaGuardia (LGA)

JFK and LaGuardia are the most convenient airports for flying in and out of Long Island. Once you land, you will need to take either a train or car to get out to Montauk (located at the very tip of Long Island). The travel time from the airport is about 2.5-3 hours. If flying into JFK: We recommend taking the JFK AirTrain from the airport directly to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) at Jamaica Station. At Jamaica Station, trains run all the way out to Montauk. Travel Note

Driving

Montauk is a very walkable town so a car is not necessary! There are also car services available once out there (taxis/uber/lyft). For those driving, the drive from JFK or LaGuardia is about 2.5-3 hours, depending on traffic. The busiest times to drive are Friday afternoons and Sundays so try and drive on off hours if possible!
