Things to do & Sites to see

Bike around the island! The full loop is 8.2 miles and takes about an hour at a relaxed pace— the best way to take in the beautiful shoreline views. You can rent bikes at any of the many shops downtown—our personal favorite is Mackinac Wheels. Explore the island by bike or on foot—there are countless scenic roads and wooded trails to discover. Some of our favorite strolls include Leslie Ave, the Annex, and Anne’s Tablet, all offering peaceful views and a chance to slow down and enjoy the island’s charm. For more ideas, including a full map of trails, check out this guide: https://www.mackinacisland.org/blog/post/4-hiking-and-biking-trails-to-explore-on-mackinac-island/ While you’re exploring, be sure to visit some of the island’s most iconic spots: Fort Mackinac for a bit of history and incredible views Grand Hotel to stroll the famous porch & gardens Arch Rock for one of the island’s most photographed natural landmarks British Landing for a relaxing stop along the bike route
