Are kids invited?

We are only able to include children of family on our wedding day.

When should I RSVP by?

The earlier the better! RSVP by September 1st.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is plenty of parking at Steeplechase but we will also have a shuttle to the venue from Best Western in Rochester (see travel page). If you plan to drink please use the shuttle service!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our vibe is a wildflower whimsical vibe so we want our guests looking good and having fun (whatever that means for you) ! Don't be afraid of color! For those wearing HEELS! FYI the ceremony will be outside and down a grassy slope. Wedges, chunky or heel protectors would be beneficial.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a room block at "Best Western Rochester Hotel Mayo Clinic Area/St Mary's". Be sure to call to book under McCoy/Olofson Wedding +1 (507) 289-8866 The hotel has a large pool area and includes breakfast. Grocery store, convenience store, and other shops next door. Great local restaurant, Wildwood attached to the hotel.

When can I check in to the hotel?

Answer

check in isn't until 4pm (ceremony start time). They may allow early check-in but not guaranteed. Please reach out if you need a place to leave items or get ready. We will have some rooms booked for Friday night that guests can use Saturday during the day!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know if you have food concerns. We have a typical buffet planned with multiple meat, vegetable and potato options.

Timeline: 4pm Ceremony Start 4:30 Cocktail hour- extended family photos 5:30 be seated for dinner 7:00 Dance party! We have both a band, The Chubs and a DJ for a fun filled night! 9:30ish first shuttle home! 10:30ish 2nd shuttle home 12pm last shuttle home!
