What’s the dress code?

Answer

Black-tie optional for the ceremony, this is a good old fashioned church wedding so wear your Sunday best!

Are kids invited to the reception?

Answer

We will not be having kids at the reception, this is a party for the older (and in some cases approaching geriatric) “children” still attempting to feel youthful.

Where do we park for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Ceremony: Free parking is available at the school lot across from Assumption Church, 35 N Jackson Ave, Bellevue, PA 15202. This lot will have more than enough spots for everyone. Additional, metered parking is available on the Sprague St. side of the church, in the municipal lot across the street. Reception: Free parking is available directly in front of the venue in the form of the Avonworth Community Park parking lot. There will be reserved spaces for wedding guests in the rows closest to the Mayernik Center.

What’s the weather like that time of year?

Answer

We’re getting married in Pittsburgh in April, anything from snow to 80° weather is on the table. Average temperature is just shy of 50 with a good chance of rain, so plan ahead. Both the ceremony and reception are indoors, but in case you plan to see any sites while in town make sure to pack accordingly.
