Mary and Andrew met on Hinge, after two great dates in Chicago, things got a little complicated. Mary skipped town for Mexico City to avoid the winter, while Andrew stayed behind, he had a busy schedule. The texting slowed down… until Andrew dropped a surprise:
“Great news: I got the days off!” Next thing Mary knew, she was picking him up at the Mexico City airport. She didn’t think he’d stay the whole time… but he did. (She still thinks it was because he was scared she wasn’t going to text him back.) Their third date turned into nine days of tacos, mezcal, and wandering the streets of CDMX. But it wasn’t until Andrew danced salsa with her friends that Mary thought, Okay… this might be something. Fast forward almost two years, and they’re on a trip to Japan, with both of their moms. On the 350th floor of the Tokyo Skytree, Andrew got down on one knee VERY nervous, sweaty-palmed, and forgetting everything he planned to say… Mary said YES! Since then, they've been traveling, building a life together, falling more in love, and yes, Andrew has gotten better at salsa.
