It was as if all the years of knowing each other—of drifting apart and then snapping back together—had been a prelude to this realization, this understanding of love that was both new and old.
We met in high school, in the U.S. Senate. Amidst the whirlwind of early morning classes and long days on the Senate floor, we became fast friends—bonding over inside jokes, our shared interests and even our regional differences. After our Page days ended, life took us in different directions but we always stayed in touch—with serendipitous adventures in London and New York and the occasional cross-timezone catch-up. Little did we know we were building the foundation for something deeper. Years later, fate brought us back together. What started as a simple dinner quickly turned into something more, as we realized that the connection we had all those years ago had never really faded. Now, sixteen years after those days on the Senate floor, we’re writing a new chapter—one filled with love, laughter, and a lifetime of inside jokes. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
