4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The evening before the wedding, feel free to drop by and say hello at The Light Horse, a lovely gastropub right around the corner from our wedding venue. We'll provide appetizers and a round of drinks! Attire: Smart casual. (Think collared shirts, blouses, dress pants, skirts, sundresses — a bit more polished than jeans and sneakers, but no need for ties or sportcoats!)
11:15 am
Doors open at 10:45 a.m.; ceremony begins promptly at 11:15 a.m. We'll meet under the chuppah at Josephine, an Art Deco-inspired French brasserie & barroom in Old Town Alexandria. Our ceremony will be immediately followed by a cocktail hour and a hearty brunch reception. Attire: Semi-formal. Here's a helpful guide: www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-semi-formal. ACCESSIBILITY NOTE : During our 20-minute-long ceremony, the vast majority of guests will have a chair, but some standing is unavoidable due to fire code and capacity limits. Several friends have kindly volunteered to stand, so we’re confident there’ll be enough seating for everyone who wishes to sit. Nonetheless, we will reserve some chairs for older guests and for guests we know to have mobility needs (you’ll hear from us directly in the weeks leading up to the wedding). Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
