FAQs

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP on our site no later than May 26.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is Smart Casual (sundresses, khakis, and collared shirts). Given the rustic ranch setting and uneven terrain, comfortable footwear is highly encouraged! A shuttle will run between the ranch/reception site and the ceremony site. For those who prefer to walk, it is a short, scenic trek uphill.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

The ranch has a rustic, campground feel, so pack accordingly! If you're staying for a few days, here's what we recommend: -Hiking boots and comfortable walking shoes -Casual clothing like flannels and comfortable shorts -Bathing suit for the hot springs, hot tubs, and pool -Plenty of sunscreen (the sun is strong at this altitude!) -Athletic wear if you'd like to use the sports courts -A light raincoat & umbrella- we are expected to have more rain this season -A light jacket for cool evenings (temperatures drop at night) -Your dancing shoes for the celebration!šŸŽŠ

Question

What is the elevation at the ranch? (How to avoid altitude sickness)

Answer

Deer Valley Ranch and Hot Springs sits at approximately 8,000 feet in the Arkansas River Valley, nestled between Mount Princeton and Mount Antero. If you're traveling from sea level, consider spending a night or two in Denver to acclimate and help prevent altitude sickness. Throughout your stay, be sure to drink plenty of water! If you plan on drinking, keep in mind: 1 @ altitude = 2 @ sea level

Question

Is food available on site?

Answer

There are no dining facilities on site at the ranch, though coffee is available in the lodge. The closest option for food is a small convenience store at Mount Princeton Hot Springs, just down the road. For Lodge Guests: The lodge has a shared kitchen with a refrigerator, but individual rooms do not have fridges or microwaves. We recommend bringing a cooler for your room and stocking up on groceries before you arrive—consider a Costco run on your way in (Logan's favorite!). Buena Vista, just 15 minutes away, offers a variety of restaurants and grocery stores if you need additional supplies during your stay.

Question

Will there be alcohol at your wedding?

Answer

We have made the decision not to provide alcohol at our wedding. Guests may have alcohol in cabins or in the lodge rooms. Please consume responsibly!

Question

Is there parking available on site?

Answer

Yes! There is a parking lot right near the reception site with additional overflow parking near the ranch entrance.

Question

Is there Wifi?

Answer

There is limited WiFi available on the ranch. The "business center" offers the best connection, and some cabins have WiFi while others do not. Cell service can also be spotty in the area. If you want entertainment for downtime, consider downloading music, podcasts, or shows ahead of time. Otherwise, take this opportunity to unplug and enjoy quality time with friends and family surrounded by the mountains!
