Vanilla Bean Creamery
Will walked in the door for his shift at Vanilla Bean, while Mary-Grace was filling out new employee paper work, and (in slow motion) we gazed at each other in awe. We both knew something special was going down;) We met each other working at this charming ice cream shop, and we got to know each other between rushes and scooping ice cream together. Come visit this Elkhart staple for some of the best ice cream in the tri state area!
Wellfield Botanic Gardens
Wellfield is such a beautiful place and is so special to both of us. We love coming here to slow down, talk, and enjoy our time together.
Elkhart Farmers Market
We love visiting the our local farmers market for the baked goods, produce, and local art. Located in a beautiful spot along the river, the farmers market is from 9AM-1PM every Saturday in the summer.
Osteria Amici
Amici quickly became our favorite place for a date night. We love the cozy and classy atmosphere and enjoy sharing delicious food and good conversations here.
The Electric Brew
The electric brew is a warm and inviting coffee shop that becomes a regular stop for us. We enjoy ourselves good conversations, coffee, and highly competitive chess.
Bird in the Hand
Bird in the hand is a local favorite where we got to work together. We still love coming back for the amazing people and yummy tenders.
The Jackson Rooftop
The Jackson rooftop bar is on the 4th floor above osteria amici, making it the perfect dinner/drinks combo. We love coming up here after dinner and trying to have deep conversations over the live music while looking out over the scenic Elkhart view.
Island Park
One of our favorite places to bike, take long walks along the river, and have little picnic dates.
