Question

Are there restrictions associated with the venue?

Answer

Our venue is first and foremost an Animal Sanctuary, so there are a few rules and restrictions associated with the property. Swan Lake asks that guests do not touch, feed, or harass the wildlife in any way. No fires, confetti, sparklers, or outside animals are permitted on the property (with the exception of service dogs.) For the safety of the animals, guests will be asked to sign a form upon entry. Additionally, please be cautious when driving on the property.

Will smoking be permitted in outside areas?

Answer

We ask that all our guests refrain from smoking for the duration of our event. Several guests and wedding party members have severe difficulties with asthma and may experience aggravated health conditions if exposed to cigarette or vape smoke.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! Hope and Joseph are excited to celebrate with all of their friends and family members. In doing so, we would like to welcome even the littlest guests to our event. While we do plan to include some age-appropriate activities, there will be no additional childcare offered at our event.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Swan Lake provides spacious parking lots as well as a parking attendant for the convenience of our guests. All parking at our event-both ceremony and reception- will be free of charge. We would like to remind our guests to drive with caution, as the roads in the mountains of Dahlonega are very dark at night.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Hope and Joseph are currently registered via Zola and Amazon. For the convenience of our guests, we have combined all registries onto one portal of access on our Zola site. Please continue to check the “Registry” tab, as all information and updates will be posted here as they become available.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

While there is no specific dress code, we prefer that our guests arrive in semi-formal attire. Our wedding colors are shades of rust and blue. We would love to invite our guests to dress in the event color palette, although this is certainly not required. Temperatures in Dahlonega typically range from mid 40’s to upper 60’s during the month of October; please plan accordingly.

Is it too late to RSVP?

Answer

We have not closed RSVPs at this point, but our vendors do need a finalized guest count soon. Please RSVP as soon as possible.

What time is the Wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will be at 4:30pm, with guest seating beginning at 4pm.
