I have gotten see Marty and Amanda's relationship grow and grow, and am now very excited for the next phase the wedding. Marty and I have been best friends since we were two years old. Not only have we been great friends all this time, but growing up his parents considered me their “third son”. I have been good friends with Marty since we met in college. We lived together for two and a half years and have plenty of good (and bad) stories to go along with that time. During that time, I met Amanda and spent plenty of time with her as well. I’m glad that Marty and Amanda are finally getting married, and I’m just as glad that I get to be a part of their day.

My name is Josh Ogron and I was raised in Highland Park. Marty and I first met in pre-school, but really became close throughout the later part of high school and college. I can always count on Marty to grab some food or watch a movie, even if we are the only ones in the theatre. I look forward to many more years of friendship, and celebrating with him and Amanda!

Marty and I have known each other since preschool at Lutz. Growing up, we carpooled to baseball games together and golfed with each other. Our friendship has continued to grow these past few years and I look forward to the many memories yet to come. Congratulations to you and Amanda on your engagement!

Marty and I met back in High School. Our first time hanging out, it took me about 10 minutes to find his house and the cops showed up cause I was circling the neighborhood. It took Barry and Marty to testify that I was supposed to be there. True story. The next blue and red lights I will be seeing, will be when I’m celebrating on the dance floor. Can’t wait for the special day to celebrate with Marty and Amanda Schatz!

Hello! I’m lucky enough to know both the bride and groom. Raised in Highland Park, I went to high school with Marty and met Amanda the first week of college. We became fast friends and spent the last two years of college as roommates. We now are both speech pathologists and I’m lucky to have Amanda to lean on for anything and everything. I can’t wait to see this perfect match become husband and wife.

Hi everyone! I was happy to meet Amanda in our sorority at UIUC my sophomore year of college. I was lucky to room with her in the house and spend hours laughing and dancing at date events. I've known Amanda since we were in middle school and I spent almost everyday after school at her house. We also lived in the same apartment building multiple years in college so we saw each other all the time. Our careers even crossed paths during our field experiences when we both worked at the same school! Amanda is one of my oldest friends and I cannot wait to celebrate with her and Marty!

I met Marty on our first day of grad school at Cornell University where we bonded over our Midwestern/Greek/Big 10 roots and became fast friends. Throughout our two year programs, we spent many an hour working on projects and complaining about how neither of us belonged in the Ivy League. Nevertheless we persisted and both managed to graduate with our degrees and only mild emotional scarring, thanks to margaritas at Old Mexico and sangria from Collegetown bagels. Post-grad life hasn’t been nearly as fun now that we’re living 2000 miles away, but I couldn’t be happier for Amanda and Marty and our many wedding planning FaceTime sessions!
