FAQs

Question

Due to Covid-19 the wedding has been moved to next July 2021

Answer

As much as we wanted to keep our wedding date in May we’ve come to realize that we will need to cancel our original plans. With all the unforeseen events unraveling before us we have decided to push the wedding until July 30th 2021. We are very sorry for the inconvenience but feel like the celebration will be even bigger in July 2021.

Question

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

Dress to impress, cocktail attire please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose. Colombia is hot and humid! The wedding will be held in the evening time and will be both outdoors and inside where there is air conditioning.

Question

Is Cartagena safe?

Answer

Cartagena is officially the safest city in Colombia. Indeed, 2018 crime statistics show that Cartagena (and the other large cities in Colombia) are actually safer than many cities in The United States. The main tourist locations (like Bocagrande, The Old City, and Getsemani) are perfectly safe for vacationers!

Question

Is the water safe?

Answer

Yes! The tap water in Cartagena is safe to drink, safe to brush your teeth with, safe to wash fruit, and safe to have ice in your cocktail

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off!

Question

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

Yes, but you need to let us know when you RSVP.

Question

How is transportation?

Answer

If you stay anywhere within the walled city (highly recommend) everything is within walking distance and you won't have to worry about transportation.

Question

How are the electricity outlets in Colombia?

Answer

Electricity in Colombia runs at 110 volts, so transformers are not necessary for tourists from the U.S. If you are planning to use anything with a three-prong plug, bring an adapter, as some establishments only have two-prong outlets.

Question

cell phone use

Answer

We highly recommend you keep your phone on airplane mode while you're there if you don't have a oversea's cell phone plan, that will save you from getting charged any fee's. Everywhere we went had free WiFi so you can use your phone to call, text and go online. download the WhatsUp app for an easier way to keep in touch with the wedding party.
