Miranda likes to take all the credit for our friendship, and she's mostly right about that. All the way back in 9th grade she saw me standing alone at church one Sunday morning and came over to introduce herself! After that we were thick-as-thieves ... attending youth group and mission trips together until we transferred to the same small Christian high school! We were co-captains of the volleyball team, were in all of the school plays, and usually together every weekend; she + Angela + I were the best trio! It's been over twenty years, and I couldn't imagine having her anywhere but by my side! She's my very favorite rainbow trout!

God might have given me three brothers by blood, but when I was 14 he gave me a sister! At Faith Christian School when I was in 10th grade and Rach was in 8th we formed a bond that saw us through the same high school, the same youth group, the same college, and even moving to Indy and attending the same church and small group together as brand new adults. Though she has since moved around the country and has a family of her own - she will ALWAYS be my "sissy" and I am so grateful to have her stand by my side on the day that we've daydreamed about a thousand times over the last twenty years!

Maybe I'm the only person out there who loved high school, but I LOVED high school and this brunette beauty was a major reason why! Sure, Miranda was the one to introduce herself, but along with Miranda came her best friend Angela, and from pretty much day one we were the best of friends. After college Angela and I moved to downtown Indianapolis together into the little green house on 12th street! She is as loyal as they come and has prayed for my heart probably a million times by now. It is a delight to have her (after recently giving birth to baby #5!) stand with us on our wedding day!

The Lord was so gracious to bring my brother a bride that I not only loved, but liked! Caroline is a gem of a human and we were pals almost instantly; now we aren't only friends but family! We have taken spontaneous road trips and sung karaoke in Tennessee, rung in the holidays and made fun out of a Tuesday night movie viewing; Caroline is always ready for a good time. She is also an amazing mama to my perfect niece Emmeline Georgette! I was so honored to have stood up in her wedding and now to have her stand with me... cue the tears!

Aly is a gift of sunshine to all who know her, but the Martin clan is selfishly glad to claim her as our own! I remember flying out to Denver to meet my brother's then-girlfriend and was smitten with her grace and goodness right away. She didn't bat an eye at the brand of crazy that is specific to being a Martin, but embraced us all immediately and fits right in! She is also an amazing mama to my perfect niece Hazel James. To have two sisters-in-law that I count as true buddies is such a blessing, and I am so delighted to have this wonderful gal stand by my side as I say "I do" to my husband-to-be!

If you look up "loyal" in the dictionary, you would see a photo of Amanda's perfect freckled face. Lenny Willow or MandyPants as she is affectionately known, chooses to see the good in everyone and if she loves you, she will champion you to the moon & back. She has been my friend since college, a part of some of my favorite life memories - from a mission trip to the Bahamas to the first-ever "Black Ice" bash to traipsing through her Colorado mountain town and forging iron on a real anvil! If you want to find her after the wedding, this buddy 'o' mine will be found tearing up the dance floor with Dr. Pfelderer!

Allie has been one my sparkliest & sincerest pals since we met working at J.Crew! I remember her telling me over a decade ago while we sat in our sweatpants that she would always be one of my bestest friends - and though she's moved cross-country multiple times since then, she kept her promise. You can bet that if she tells you she'll pray, she will. And I will never forget in a season of total darkness when she hugged me tight and said "No matter how sad you are, you can always tell me." Now to be in a season of such excitement and to have the chance to share that with her also... what a full-circle friendship!

Go Eagles! This babe of a blonde is another Faith Christian Highschool alum and my favorite roommate of all time. We lived together many many moons ago and she's always retained that title! She listens well and cares deeply, she can enjoy just hanging on the couch or taking off in an airplane for some crazy adventure. When I needed someone to "show up" ... she came without blinking an eye, and when I needed to find the good in a hard place, she took me to the beach and sat next to me on a wild roller-coaster. This gal is a friend for life and I'm so lucky to have her!

Jeff and David met all the way back in first grade in Trenton, Michigan where they both were in the same class and always made sure to look out for one another. They spent all of high school as buddies and then maintained a close friendship while they went to different colleges. Once while David's parents went on a month-long visit to China, Jeff stayed with David and still won't share any of the crazy bachelor stories from those few weeks. He stands by telling me that nothing wild happened, but knowing Jeff - I don't believe it. These best friends call each other "brother" and have spent countless birthdays, Christmases, good times, and tough times together. It is an honor to have Jeff stand by his brother's side!

David met Brad when they were just little boys in elementary school! This friendship is a brotherhood that's lasted over the years, despite transition of many kinds. Before Brad moved away to be a superstar police officer in Arizona, he spent a lot of time with the Beckett family - including living with them during a year or so of undergrad! David has always appreciated Brad's sense of humor and ability to make any situation fun! (And that even though he's now a dad of three kiddos, he STILL can appreciate a good time!) David stood up with his brother Jeff, both serving as Best Men in Brad's wedding and now is so excited to have Brad stand by his side, along with Jeff, as his Best Men!

Bob is the oldest of Kate's three younger brothers, husband to Caroline, dad to the perfect Emmeline Georgette, and has graciously, and prayerfully, accepted the role of marrying David & Kate on November 6th! Bob is a pastor, but he's also one of Kate's best friends and spent many years loudly objecting when she would daydream about a someday-wedding where she would ask Bob to be the Maid of Honor. (Hey now, his legs would look great in a dress!) Though he declined being the MOH, it is so fitting with his tender heart, rhythm of Godly pursuit, and lifetime of memories with Kate that he stand at the altar ready to extend encouragement and exhortation regarding this most beautiful of lifelong commitments as Kate & David make a covenant to each other and the Lord.

On a gorgeous day in Colorado just a few years ago, Kate stood in a candlelit barn as rain trickled outside and David & his beautiful wife Aly said "I do." And now, this younger brother + friend will stand up by his future brother-in-law as he's welcomed fully into the family! Dave could provide the music, design the day, or even plan a wild after-party, but it's up at the altar prayerfully committing to uplift this new covenant where we need him and appreciate him the most! David is the dad of Kate's perfect niece Hazel, a businessman by day, a donut connoisseur by passion, and brings all celebrations to the brim in fullness & FUN! We are so happy that he agreed to be a part of our big day!

Traveling all the way from Texas to meet us in the chapel is Kate's youngest brother Dan. He and Kate have stood up together at Bob & Caroline's wedding and a year later at Dave & Aly's wedding, and now he's rounding out serving all his siblings by standing up at Kate & David's wedding! Dan is completing his Doctorate in Occupational Therapy where he loves to help kids and really thrives in seeing them better through his care. He is also passionate about God, music, and his sweet pup Daisy. We are so glad to have all the "Martin Boys" willing & wanting to don classic tuxedos and worship with us on our wedding day!
