To make the weekend smooth and enjoyable for our family and friends traveling from the United States, we have arranged accommodations in two coordinated locations at a discounted rate with additional perks and kindly ask our U.S. guests to stay within these designated hotels. This will allow us to organize transportation and weekend events seamlessly, so you can simply relax and enjoy the celebration. We have reserved a complete hotel block at Košice Hotel, which will serve as our wedding headquarters. Your wedding package here includes: - Welcome drinks on Friday evening at the hotel - Shuttle service to all wedding events throughout the weekend, including bus transport to and from Tokaj - Early check-in and late check-out - Welcome bottle of wine at the room - Assistance with transporting any wines purchased at MEA GRATI (your bottles will be delivered to the hotel and ready for pick-up at check-out) The wedding reception will take place at MEA GRATI, a vineyard outside Košice. For Saturday evening, we have arranged accommodation close to the reception venue. Transport from the venue to accommodation will be provided to all our guests. Because transportation and weekend coordination will be organized from these designated locations, we strongly encourage our U.S. guests to stay within the arranged accommodations. For our wonderful guests we recommend arriving at Kosice International Airport (KSC). You can fly to KSC directly from these airports: Bratislava (BTS) Prague (PRG) Vienna (VIE) Warsaw (WAW) London (LTN and STN) Zurich (ZRH) The next closest airport is Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD). This airport is 170 miles (3h drive) away from Košice. You can book a transfer from the airport directly to Košice through FlixBus or other taxi service. We will try to provide more transfer details soon. If you would like to explore Slovakia’s neighbours before or after the wedding, we strongly recommend visiting: Prague (direct flight or 8h drive) Budapest (3h drive) Vienna (direct flight or 6h drive)

Transportation Information 🚗
For easy travel in Slovakia we recommend renting a car, but for those who are unable to rent a car, a shuttle bus from Saint Elisabeth’s Cathedral to the venue will be provided. Return transport can be recommended based on individual interest. The venue (Mea Grati) is about 50 miles (1h20 drive) away from the cathedral. After the reception a shuttle service from the venue to the accommodation will be provided as well.

A car rental is not necessary for the weekend, unless you plan to do exploring on your own Since the reception venue is outside of Košice, we will spend the night after the reception at a different hotel. Please mind that you will have to check-out on Saturday morning and check-in the second hotel Saturday afternoon before the reception. We allocated time for this process, so you won’t miss anything. However, it is possible to keep your room at Košice Hotel from Saturday to Sunday at a discounted rate to keep your belongings there and avoid having to check-out and then check-in again on Sunday.
