Schwäbisches Vesper-Picnic (Swabian picnic dinner)

If you're in Tübingen on Friday evening, join us for a picnic. We'd like to welcome you with a typical Schwäbisch Vesper, a traditional bread, cheese, and Wurst dinner. There'll also be some options for the meat-free folks, as well as beer and bubbles. Schloss Hohentübingen is the castle here in town. "Schloss" means "castle" in German. This park is located in front of the castle and has great views of the city. Schloss Hohentübingen ist das Schloss hier in der Stadt. Dieser Park befindet sich vor dem Schloss und bietet eine tolle Aussicht auf die Stadt. Wir betrachten ihn als unseren Vorgarten, weil wir direkt nebenan wohnen.

Stocherkahnfahrt (Punting on the river Neckar)

There, we will rent a traditional punt boat and glide along the river, taking in the stunning views of the city's famous landmarks. Please dress for the weather and bring a hat and sunscreen if necessary. Make sure to bring light refreshments on board the punt. For those still in Tübingen, join us for a walk through the woods to the fairytale town of Bebenhausen, famous for its monastery built in 1183. We'll meet at the bus stop, take the bus to the forest, and walk for around an hour. Once in town, we can eat some cake and wander through the monastery complex. For those interested in Bebenhausen but not up for the walk, there are buses to and from Bebenhausen.
