A millennial love story - we met on a dating app in 2016 and had our first date at Calzone's Restaurant in North Beach. We sat in this Italian restaurant ordering coffee and talking for 5 straight hours. We both got hungry and decided to order some food. As we ordered a pizza to split we asked if the other person was a vegetarian - when we both laughed hysterically at this idea, the second date was basically a sure thing.

We went to Maui for our 2 year anniversary/Marta's birthday and spent an amazing week on the beach, eating all of the food, and exploring the island. We planned a helicopter tour for the last day of the trip, which happened to be Marta's birthday. As we were high above the island, the music in the helicopter changed to our song - Israel Kamakawiwoʻole's Somewhere Over the Rainbow. As Marta tried to get the perfect snap chat and move Alex out of the way, he pulled out her dream ring and completely took her by surprise.
