Aimee decided to slack off senior year of high school a bit and not take honors English. Good thing, because in the class full of regular ed kids, she was sat at a table with Jacob. They ended up also having a free hour together that semester and would spend it causing ruckus in the library with Kelsey and Bennett, or Aimee would spend the hour beating Jacob at sports. As days went on, they bonded over being competitive and having a love for Lil' Wayne. Young Mula Baby. A friendship grew and crushes grew even more. Jacob asked Aimee to senior prom in what some would say was even more elaborate than the wedding proposal. He sent her on a full day scavenger hunt where to no one's surprise, he made himself the prize. This was in 2011 and 13 years later in 2024, Jacob ran it back and instead of asking Aimee to prom, he asked her to marry him.

You know when it's just been a good day? May 25th was really just turning out to be a solid day. The vibes were right, the margaritas were good, and Aimee and Jacob were happy to be in Bend. A month prior, Aimee had taken it upon herself to conveniently try on engagement rings when she was getting a watch resized. "Convenient". She may have showed Jacob what she liked and may have also gave him her ring size and the jewelers card. As much as Jacob wanted to propose during an upcoming trip to Las Vegas, he let Travis Kelce remain the king of Viva Las Vegas and instead waited until Memorial Day weekend where he suggested a trip to Bend with Penelope. They stayed at the relaxing Pronghorn resort, hiked during the day with Penny, grabbed some drinks at Barrio happy hour, got dinner at the resort then sat by the fire at sunset. Jacob worked it out with the bartender to snap some pictures while he popped the question, and as the sun set over the Three Sisters mountains, Jacob got down on one knee. The next day, Jacob celebrated with a round of golf and Aimee immediately started wedding planning by the pool. They left Bend as fiancés excited for the next chapter of their life!
